Halloween celebrations are definitely different this year to physical distance due to the coronavirus pandemic. This doesn’t mean the fun or the spooky activities are halted!

Here is a curated list of 8 activities that are fun and safe to do at home with your family and kids.

1. MAKE GOODIE BAGS

Make or get your family’s favourites treats and put it all in a nice themed goodie bag or gift boxes. Don’t just think candy, think mini pies, cookies, and maybe even throw in 1 or 2 decorations! Separate and layout all your components and let your kids make their own goodie bags, save it for number 8 activity on this list.

 

 

 

2. SPECIAL DELIVERY SERVICE

Since Trick-or-Treat isn’t an option this year, it doesn’t mean you can’t hand out candies. Bring your family around the neighborhood and leave a goodie bag by their door. Ring the doorbell. and run away, watching from afar as they light up with joy! Make sure to wear your mask and to stay safe!

 

 

 

3. HALLOWEEN CRAFTS – DECOR

Decorating together just brightens up the mood and brings you to Halloween town, setting the ambiance for the rest of the night! There are so many amazing sites with Halloween DIYS for ever level of crafter, here are just a couple of inspirations:

4. MAKE SPOOKY SNACKS TOGETHER

5. PUMPKIN DECORATING

Decorating pumpkins is just part of the tradition and great for making messy hands and a beautiful or spooky art piece. If carving a pumpkin intimidates you, try painting pumpkins. No need to open up the pumpkin and no need for pointing objects. Either way, decorating a pumpkin is just great FUN!

 

 

 

6. DO THE MONSTER MASH

Not going out for Trick-or-Treating is no excuse for not dressing up. Get into the spirit, call your family and friends and have a virtual costume party or even a costume contest! It’s one of the best parts of Halloween for kids and adult alike.

 

 

 

8.SNUGGLE UP & WATCH A HALLOWEEN MOVIE

No matter if you are into Disney Halloween movies or prefer the haunting thriller movies, it’s a great way to cozy up and end the night.  Grab a drink, a pile of pillows and blankets, and have a movie marathon!
